Music
Our Music Vision
At Holy Trinity, we value music as a fundamental part of the children’s primary school experience. From participating in whole school singing to individual instrumental lessons, festive productions to class music lessons, visiting performers to local musical performances, all children are provided with a wealth of musical opportunities during their time here
Our music vision is for all pupils to experience a variety of music genres – confidently listening to, and appraising pieces; and being inspired to create and perform their own compositions inspired by what they have heard.
We are proud to be able to offer our children the opportunity to learn a broad range of different instruments throughout their time at Holy Trinity. By the time our children leave us, they are confident to take their music learning forwards, be it continuing with individual music tuition, or simply having a love of music.

Throughout the year, the children experience a range of live music opportunities, including visits to local theatre performances and West End musicals; touring theatre companies visiting school; participating in events organised by the BWMAT and Diocese; performances by local secondary school music departments.

Instrumental tuition
Throughout their time at Holy Trinity, the children have the opportunity to learn the following instruments:
- Ocarina - Year 1
- Glockenspiel - Year 2 and 3
- Recorder - Year 2 and 3
- Brass - Year 4
- Clarinet - Year 5
Individual lessons in brass and clarinet are offered from Year 4 upwards.
Rocksteady lessons are offered to all year groups across the school.
Rocksteady
We were lucky enough to welcome Rocksteady into school for a whole‑school assembly and two workshops – one for KS1 and one for KS2. The children had a brilliant time learning about different instruments, singing along, and getting actively involved in the sessions.
As well as this, Miss Morley, Miss Davis, Mr Mullins and Mr Graham were chosen to get up on stage to perform ‘We Will Rock You’, which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.
